Field Trip to NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

CANCELLED

Wednesday, April 15, 2020, 12:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Jet Propulsion Laboratory, 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, CA 91109

The meeting program involves presentations from OC ARCS President Ana Chu and two OC ARCS scholars, potential future JPL employees. The private tour allows us to visit places that we would not if it were a general tour and we will be less time constrained. Any members attending as part of the meeting will be able to share their relationship to ARCS and knowledge of the scholars and program.

This is a private meeting and tour specially arranged by R. Peter Dillon, ARCS Orange County Alumnus, Technical Group Supervisor, Materials Development and Manufacturing Technology Group.

ARCS Orange County Chapter Members, Guests, Scholars, and Alumni are all invited!

Hurry! Only 27 spots available!

SECURITY NOTE: JPL requires that all U.S. citizens present official, government issued photo identification (driver's license or passport) before being allowed entry. All non-U.S. Citizens must present a passport or resident visa (green card) before being allowed entry.

DISABILITY NOTE: Please be advised that tours involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing. Wheelchair access can be accommodated with advance notice; however, wheelchairs cannot be provided.

PARKING: Parking is free but can sometimes be limited, so carpooling or organizing some group transportation could be helpful.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: Remember to dress for the weather as the tour will proceed rain or shine! Cameras are permitted on the facility.
